I can say I'm better off not being in Paris or the South of France with the current heat wave, but the truth is I would take a French summer any way you slice it. Instead, I will embrace the inspiration gathered from previous trips in a style post for the home. J'adore.

Summer is hands down the one and only season for me. I come to life and want to share that radiant energy with the world. Nothing feels more summery to me than the sea and the shore. Clearly, I'm not the only one.

By keeping the gas insert and tile face around the existing fireplace but updating the mantel with a chunky marble surround, a budget friendly solution was offered. Adding shiplap paneling along the back wall for subtle interest and coastal detailing and painting the paneling and existing ceiling beams the lightest of blue grays, now we have a true point of interest.
