Thanksgiving Table Setting Ideas

First published November 16, 2017

One week exactly until Turkey Day and I never got around to creating a tablescape like the magical Boho Chic table we presented last year. To be honest, I was intimidated by all the gorgeousness I saw by prefoessional stylists around the interwebs under the hashtag #friendsgiving. A clever way to do a practice run for your big meal and give people inspiration and a little prep time. If I make a nice table I will be sure to photograph it (no promises) but in the meantime I have collected my favorite tablescapes seen so far. There were too many good ones this year, yet I found myself attracted to the foraged, natural, almost wild tablescapes.

1) Starting with Jenny Kayne who is brilliant and perfect in everything she does.  Her table was natural and neutral with persimmons and walnuts to grab the eye's attention. 2-3) An autumnal themed 1st birthday party by Kristina of 100 Layer Cake can be just as inspiring as a Friendsgiving table for decor and menu ideas. Pastel pumpkins galore. 4) A beautiful dinner by Eye Swoon shows that thoughtful place settings make the difference 5) Getting cozy with copper and orange hues on Style Me Pretty Living 6) The West Elm Front & Main blog did not disappoint with a luminous moody table

Besides the clementines, walnuts, pumpkins, persimmons, springs of rosemary and branches you may forage, I pulled together a quick rose gold/terra cotta/brick hued shopping list of table settings to get you up and running before the holiday: gather garlandmacrame table runner, wood charger, ceramic bowls,  rose gold flatware, linen table cloth, linen napkins, pitcher, moscow mules set, plates & bowls
