One of the easiest and most enjoyable things to do as a home designer (professional or amateur) is to pick a little corner near your entertaining hub and set up a home bar. Its a sly way to infuse a small area with loads of style and it always ends up being handy to have a bar all set up when guests drop by.

Some of our favorite past home bar set ups.

So, what does it take to get the most stylish bar set up going? Besides the liquor of course. Here are my suggestions for a nice selection of goodies to get you started.

Trays: Bleeker, target wood footed tray, marble, captains tray
Glasses: baccarat (Pottery Barn sells something similar in their library collection)
Ice bucket: Bleaker, Vintage Danish
Decanters: Edgar Round , Library Decanter, Daphne, Wine Carafe
Accessories: a bowl for lemons, bottle opener, whiskey stones, menu board, steel straws, cutting board, leather coasters or brass coasters, muddler
